Master Thesis

The Master Thesis has as its main purpose the opportunity to work in a scientific manner, analyzing problems and synthesizing solutions based on both the general and specialized knowledge acquired during the studies. The future Energy Systems Engineer must be able to deal with serious technical issues, to search for and manage scientific knowledge and sources and to present work in writing and orally in the best possible way. At the same time, the Master Thesis offers an opportunity to delve into a topic of particular interest to each student, which can introduce them to the corresponding field of application or research and constitute the first step of a corresponding professional or research career.

By decision of the competent body of the MSc program, which is the Committee of Studies, the supervision of theses may also be assigned to members of the MSc, E.E.P., E.T.E.P. and E.D.I.P. of the Departments, who have not undertaken teaching work at the MSc. A necessary condition is the relevance of the cognitive subject or the scientific work or the subject of the thesis of the said members of the department with the subject of the MSc. Upon approval of the assignment of the thesis, the S.C. appoints a Three-Member Committee from members of the Faculty or the Academic Staff or Scientific Associates of the two collaborating Departments for its evaluation. In any case, at least one Faculty Member participates in the Committee.
